Memorial Day Weekend is here and Cape Summer Life has begun. Yesterday was hot and breezy, perfect combination. People were enjoying the beach, riding bikes, flying kites, and having some epic holiday cookouts.
Cottage owners were busy this spring with cottage updates and renovations. Patios and decks were built, new outdoor showers were installed, and the super-powerful WiFi setup was implemented! Seems like everyone was busy working this spring.
If you haven’t made your reservations for the summer, do it soon, we are filling up fast!

Many Thanks to the Oyster Company restaurant and Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod for their support this year. If you get a chance, The Oyster Company is a great restaurant just up the street.
A friendly atmosphere whether at the bar or at a table. This writer has had several nice meals there. The lobster pizza is amazing!
Truro Vineyards are located just off 6A, near Provincetown. A nice day trip that could also include Whale Watching, a stroll through the village, Race Point Beach, and even another little side trip, the Altantic Spice company, which is just minutes from Truro Vineyards.
The old farmhouse that has been converted to a winery and wine & gift shop is very well done.Tours are also provided. Try the on site wine tasting!
The sand is warm and weather amazing. Also have seen a few people more brave than I swimming in the ocean. No big crowds yet, but July 4th right around the corner. Unofficial kick off to summer on Cape Cod. Nice.
Went to Race Point Beach last week and was able to watch whales and dolphins right from the beach. A very nice way to start a new season.
It might be snowy and windy today but only a few short weeks until Dennis Seashores opens for 2012.
Half the fun (okay, maybe not half, but it is fun) of a vacation to Cape Cod is planning what to do while here. Home of several fabulous golf courses, wonderful bike trails, among so many other activities, spring is an opportune time to visit Cape Cod.
How about a bike ride to Nickerson State Park? All by bike trail. Or Chatham, or Orleans, or even a picnick lunch on the “Bay side”. All of these destinations are accessible via Cape Cod rail Trail close to Dennis Seashores.
What a wonderful time of year to come to Cape Cod. The water might be a bit chilly but the sun is warm and the beaches are still beautiful.
Let’s see; golfing, walking, biking, shopping, restaurants, sea air, kayaking, whale watching, less crowded, cheaper, Chatham, Provincetown, hiking trails… Could go on and on.
At Dennis Seashores, we rent our units for shorter periods (3 might minimum) in the Fall so you can take advantage of a long weekend or a quick getaway to see the Cape during one of the most beautiful times of the year.
Give it a try, you’ll love it!
